Mr. Travis joined us at James Workman Middle School in 2005. He was born and raised in Southeast Alaska and graduated from EWU in Spokane, Washington. He enjoys being outdoors, beating his dad at cribbage, and lives to play golf. In his time off, you will find him laying low and relaxing at his parents' house up in the mountains of Washington State. Mr. Travis coaches freshman football at Cathedral City High School, and he also works in conjunction with the YMCA to provide after school tutoring.

My name is Mindy Zimmerman. This is my fourth year teaching at James Workman Middle School as a sixth grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. In my spare time, I love to travel, hike, ride my mountain bike, and sometimes, I like to just sit back and relax in the cool mountain air (far away from the desert heat!). I love to read, especially historical fiction, although there never seems to be enough time. Most of my time is spent with my husband and daughter and my two very sweet dogs, Draven and Conrad.
