Special Education

This is the incredible team that makes up the Special Day and Resource classes. They have a challenge with many student's assessments in the beginning of the year; but with well thought-out lesson plans, individual attention, and steady progression, the students are getting ready for high school and beyond!

Ms. Nina Thoeny

Hi, I'm Nina Thoeny. This is my 16th year of teaching students identified with disabilities.  Currently I'm teaching a wonderful group of 6th grade students in a Special Day Class program.  We are working hard at improving skills in reading, writing, spelling, comprehension, and math through an intervention program, REACH.  I strongly encourage family involvement, this includes attending conferences, working with your student at home for homework support, notes home, phone calls ..typically positive, and classroom visits are always welcome.  We will have a great year together!
