7th Grade Teachers

Ms. Gallacher - 7th Grade Math

Hi, I'm Ms. Gallacher. I teach seventh grade pre-algebra. I have been teaching at JWMS since it opened in 1995, except for 2000-2001 when I taught at Issaquah Middle School in Washington State. Math is my passion and I try to inspire my students to love math as much as I do. I believe that all students can learn and I use hands-on technology and any other means at my disposal to show students the beauty of mathematics. I think learning should be fun so that students will be inspired to learn. I have a BA from CSUSM and a Masters from Azusa Pacific.

Ms. Denlinger-7th Grade Language Arts

This is my first teaching position after graduating from California State University at San Bernardino in June of 2003; as an English, Creative Writing Major. I was born right here in Palm Springs California and is a alumnae of both Nellie N. Coffman Middle School and Cathedral City High School.

After graduating from CSUSB, I chose to pursue my teaching credential in order to become an English teacher. While taking my credential courses, I became a Palm Springs Unified School District Substitute Teacher. I was a regularly requested substitute both at the Elementary and Secondary School levels. Finally, after a year of substitute teaching I, decided to apply for a full time teaching position at PSUSD.

I am very happy and proud to be back in the PSUSD where I have spent so many of my learning years. I am now hoping to give to the growing student population of James Workman Middle School the opportunity to pursue their own dreams and imaginations in my Language Arts class.

Mr. Ludwin-7th Grade Social Studies

Mr. Ludwin will be returning to JWMS yet again to lead our students on an expedition of utmost importance, the search for understanding in the past and how it relates to today; for it is as the great Greek Writer Euripides once said “Whoso neglects learning in his youth, loses the past and is dead for the future." This means that the future is tied to the past; if we can understand where we have been we can see where we are going. It was this drive for understanding coupled with the need to make a difference that led Mr. Ludwin into the teaching profession. When not teaching, Mr. Ludwin can be found in the company of his wife, four cats, and SharDane ( 1⁄2 Sharpei 1⁄2 Great Dane) or his nose in a good book.
