Mrs. Nance Paine-6th Grade Math/Science

Hello, my name is Mrs. Paine. This is my third year teaching here at James Workman Middle School and my seventeenth year with the District. I received my bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with a minor in psychology, California teaching credentials with CLAD and a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University in San Bernardino. Teaching Math and Science to 6th Graders in my passion. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and Labrador “Max”, and I enjoy boating, swimming, music, the outdoors/hiking, gardening, and traveling.

Mr. Todd Crowe-6th Grade Social Studies/Language Arts

I have been here at JWMS (THE BEST MIDDLE SCHOOL IN THE DESERT) for over ten years and still love it. I like teaching math because you can quickly tell if the students understand your instructions or the skills they need to be working on. I am happily married and have two boys named Connor and Collin. I was a Marine Corps brat and went to high school in Japan. I was educated at Michigan State (GO SPARTANS) and Central Michigan University. I will unfortunately confess to being a Detroit Lions fan. Despite having grown up in the Midwest I have certainly become very fond of the Desert and I imagine that I will always have home here.
