Ryan Landmann was born in the LA area. After spending the summer in Europe
he came out here to teach at DHS. Ryan graduated from University of LaVerne
with a BA in Theater Arts. He then continued his education at CSULA receiving
his teaching credential and studying English. Ryan plans on starting his
Master's Degree in Theater Arts Production this summer.

Brian McDaniel began his tenure as Director of Bands at Desert Hot Springs High School in August 2006. Mr. McDaniel, a native of Desert Hot Springs, received his Bachelors of Music Degree in Instrumental Music Education from California State University Long Beach. While a student at California State University Long Beach, Brian studied under Mr. Loren Marstellar (Los Angeles Philharmonic), Mr. Jeffery Reynolds (Los Angeles Philharmonic), Dr. Daniel Zanutto (Downbeat Magazine), Dr. Deborah Mitchell (CMEA).
In the summer of 2005 Mr. McDaniel received level II Kodály certification at CSULB. In 2008 Mr. McDaniel received a Masters of Arts Degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, San Bernardino. Mr. McDaniel is currently finishing a Doctorate in Leadership for Educational Justice at the University of Redlands with a graduation date set for May 2011.
Mr. McDaniel is a formally trained euphonium player and trombonist. He is a member of the Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society, Music Educators National Conference, and California Music Educators Association. Mr. McDaniel resides in Desert Hot Springs, California with his wife and children.
