I was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on February 9, 1957. I have one
older sister and two younger brothers. I attended a private, liberal arts
college in Virginia. I graduated from college in 1979 with a BS Degree
majoring in English Education and minors in History, Psychology and Speech.
I moved at Irvine, California in 1980 and began teaching in 1981 for a
private school in San Juan Capistrano. I taught at this school until June
2000. I have three graduate degrees in the following areas: a Masters
in English Literature and Linguistics, a Masters of Business Administration,
and A Masters in Education. I have a Professional Clear Teaching Credential
in English.
I moved to the Coachella Valley in 2000 and bought a home in Cathedral
City.
I taught two years in a junior high school for the Coachella Unified School
District.
In 2002 I taught at Cathedral City High School. Last year I taught at
Palm Springs High School, and in August of this year I came to this high
school.
I also teach part time at night at College of the Desert. I have taught
several English classes there including English 50, English 51 and English
1A .
This is my twenty-fifth year as a teacher. I love teaching, and I plan
to teach for several more years.
